It wasn’t until I was a mom that I realized the beauty of adults-only resorts.

Not that I don’t like being around kids. In fact, kids—and their unbridled exuberance—often make a vacation way more fun. But sometimes it’s nice to be around just grown-ups, having adult conversations over adult beverages.

Hotel Wailea, Maui’s only Relais & Chateaux luxury boutique resort, offers just that: a tranquil, ultra-private, adults-only escape in sunny South Maui. The 15-acre enclave boasts panoramic ocean views of three Hawaiian Islands, spacious poolside cabanas and an apothecary style pool bar.

And now the hotel has opened up its 12 top-floor suites for truly special ocassions.

These recently remodeled Celebration Suites are the hotel’s premium rooms, designed exclusively with milestone moments in mind. Each 720-square-foot room features unobstructed ocean views, an expansive private lanai (porch), vibrant décor, a private concierge and a chilled bottle of Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne upon arrival.

The Celebration Suite Experience starts at $8,215 per night also includes a personal concierge to help customize unique experiences, a private dinner for two in The Restaurant’s Treehouse, a couple’s retreat massage, daily cabana rentals and—our favorite amenity—breakfasts in bed. (If you just want to book the suite on its own, the per-night cost starts at $1,299.)

These rooms are great for honeymoons, anniversaries, babymoons, intimate weddings or just a romantic getaway. (Christmas is coming up!)

And if the Celebration Suites weren’t enticing enough, The Restaurant at the hotel is updating its menu for the fall and winter and offering new cooking classes that feature seasonal ingredients, including winter squash and pumpkin. Additionally, Hotel Wailea is introducing a Champagne and caviar pairing event, which will feature sustainably harvested sturgeon caviar from artisan provider Black River Caviar and the rosé and brut varietals of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

The hotel is also launching a new luxury fishing expedition experience which includes a day on the Pacific in a privately chartered 52-foot Buddy Davis sport fisherman luxury yacht, hunting secret spots to target game fish, followed by a romantic seven-course dinner in the Treehouse with your catch prepared tableside by your own private chef. The cost is $4,225 for two.

Let’s hope you’ve been good this year.
